Otherworldly Freestyle Action in Soelden, Austria

Audi Nines Snow

Audi Nines Snow is the event where the world’s top freestyle skiers and snowboarders tackle groundbreaking snowpark design. 2019’s event incorporated two locations running concurrently: a men’s course in Soelden, and a second venue in Obergurgl, designed specifically for women.

The week’s action included never-before-seen tricks, like Fabian Bösch’s triple misty 1620; massive rotations like Andri Ragettli’s quad cork 1980; and record-breaking achievements like David Wise’s 11.7 metres highest air (38 feet, 4 inches) from a quarterpipe to banked landing. All of this was made possible by Audi Nines’ unceasing dedication to the creation of spectacularly sculpted snow features that are both safe and make the impossible achievable.

“The Audi Nines is a week of bringing together athletes, filmers and photographers to progress action sports. I think the most special thing about the event is that we try to create the best setup on Planet Earth. It’s big features, safe features and creative features. No one else in the world is putting as much effort into their setups as we are.

The best thing about the 2019 Audi Nines was the vibe. It’s just been a week of pure fun. It wasn’t always easy with the weather, but everyone involved gave it their best. This week was probably the best skiing and snowboarding I’ve ever seen.”
