Copenhagen’s only ski slope can be found on the roof of an emission-free, waste-to-energy plant — and Jesper Tjäder loves it. The Swedish freeskier enjoyed the rails and obstacles of this unique, year-round ski slope — while below him, the pioneering Amager Bakke power plant turns waste into heat and electricity for the Danish capital without producing any CO2 emissions.
Before this artificial ski slope was officially opened in 2019, Freeskier Jesper Tjäder was allowed to test Copenhagen’s new “mountain” with built obstacles.
